As the seasons change, so do the trends and this has a big impact on launching your own activewear collection or simply deciding what clothes to buy. We recently went to London fashion week and got an inside look into what’s going to be hot this Autumn/Winter 19. From bold retro statements to maxi pockets and mesh, fashion is as daring as ever.
Retro Goes Skiing.
Retroesque tones, bursts of vibrant oranges and reds mixed in with neutral hues, offering a more organic feel to the garment. This trend knows no boundaries when it comes to colour combos; the brighter and bolder the better!
Frost Turns Bold.
Warm and wintry palette paying homage to mother nature. Frosty tones contrasted with bold structured panels create garment dimension, but with a soft whimsical touch. Colour contrasting panels are a great addition to activewear garments as they accentuate different parts of the body and provide shaping, which is essential when wearing tight leggings.
Don’t Mess with Mesh.
Activewear and mesh form a perfect marriage of fashion and function. The integration of mesh inlays creates an edgy, futuristic look, whilst offering good ventilation and breathability as well. It’s the perfect way to add garment texture and break up a solid colour by highlighting certain parts of the body, which makes the wearer feel both confident and comfortable.
Pockets get bigger (for once). Usually pockets aren’t the most prominent feature on a garment, especially women’s clothing, but this Autumn/Winter 19 marks the start of big pockets that certainly grab your attention. On jumpers and jackets pockets are seen spread across the front, whilst on trousers they are mirrored on either leg. You definitely won’t have to worry about squeezing your phone into your back pocket anymore that’s for sure!
